2 day courses are for those wanting to learn the complete process of making a cup or goblet from start to finish. On a one day course you would need to finish off your cup or goblet at home yourself. On a 2 day course Wooden Tom will dry your item overnight in a kiln and we will spend the second day going thought all the different finishing cuts and tricks professionals will use to get your cup or goblet looking smart. We will then go through the use of a burnisher, chalk paint and finally oiling so you will go home with a completely finished item.
- You will learn how to use a selection of Swedish axes and carving knives efficiently and safely. Set in the stunning Highlands of Scotland you will be taken through tree identification and how to choose the right wood for different jobs
- You will learn traditional Scandinavian carving techniques using the axe and knife to create some unique carved products of your own to take home
- Tea and coffee provided throughout the day
- All tools and materials supplied
